1. Introduction

MouseHunt Community Marketplace ("the extension") is a browser extension that provides a community-driven marketplace for MouseHunt players to trade map slots, sniping services, items, and maps. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

Discord account information

When you sign in, we use Discord OAuth with the identify and guilds scopes. We collect your Discord ID and display name. Your Discord display name is used as your marketplace username. The OAuth access token is used once to verify your identity and server membership, then immediately discarded – it is not stored.

MouseHunt account information

When you link your MouseHunt account, we detect your Hunter ID and player identifier from your active game session. This information is stored on our server to associate your marketplace account with your in-game identity.

Game data (transient)

During trade execution, the extension reads data from your active game session, such as your active treasure maps, Super|Brie+ balance, and inventory. This data is used transiently to complete trades and is not stored permanently.

Preferences

UI theme, panel visibility, and notification settings are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. These never leave your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity via Discord and link your MouseHunt account
To match buy and sell orders and execute in-game trades
To detect inactivity and pause your orders
To send browser notifications about order matches and transaction updates, if you have enabled notifications

4. Service Records

As part of operating the marketplace, the service maintains records of your marketplace activity, including orders you create and transactions you participate in. These records are necessary for the marketplace to function and for dispute resolution.

5. Information Sharing

Other marketplace users can see your active orders, including prices, quantities, and types.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.
Discord: We verify your server membership during sign-up. The access token is discarded immediately after verification.
Server administrators may access audit logs and diagnostic data for troubleshooting purposes.

6. Data Storage & Security

Server data is stored in a database on a server operated by the developer.
Authentication is handled via Discord OAuth only – no passwords are stored.
Session management uses JWT tokens.
All communication uses encrypted connections (HTTPS and WSS).
Your browser's extension storage holds your authentication token, cached profile, and UI preferences.
Optional diagnostic logging, when enabled by an administrator, may temporarily store game API request and response data on the server for troubleshooting.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. Accounts are not deleted, as this is necessary to enforce marketplace rules and prevent abuse.

8. Your Rights

You can disable or uninstall the extension at any time, which stops all data collection.

9. Chrome Web Store Compliance

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We request only the minimum permissions necessary:
